Can you become a dentist with a degree in chemistry?

-Yes provided you take the dental pre-reqs. A degree in chemistry doesn't meet them all.



They generally are:

1 Year General Chemistry + Labs (This is met by chemistry)

1 Year Organic Chemistry + Labs (This is met)

1 Semester of Biochemistry (May or may not be met, depends on the program, may be an elective)

1 Year Physics + Labs (This is met)

1 Year of Math (this is met)

1 Year of General Biology + Labs

1 Year of Anatomy and Physiology (or 1 semester anatomy and 1 semester physiology)

1 Semester of Microbiology

1 Year of English (met by gen-ed)
